That was me. By that time, I will be almost 40 years old.

After 40, everything went downhill fast…

Suddenly, my once slim and toned body became the center of attention for gaining weight and bulges in all the wrong places.

It seemed like my metabolism had slowed down a lot.

Even my health was deteriorating and I had very little energy throughout the day.

As a mother, I wanted to spend quality time with my children, but my poor health came in the way. I was in a bad place, and not being able to play with them with the energy they needed really started to bother me.

So, I would go to bed earlier at night, hoping that would help me get through the next day.

Some nights I slept 12 hours, and was still crawling the next day!

I didn’t realize at the time how bad it had become.

That is, until my husband and I went to visit family in Florida for the holidays. They had booked a condo on Airbnb for us to stay.

When I walked into the bathroom I noticed there was a fancy digital scale right in the middle of the floor. There was no scale in our house for many years.

Hesitantly, I decided to go ahead…just to see what it said.

That moment made a deep impact on me. I realized that the problem was real.

I looked in the bathroom mirror and what I saw embarrassed me.

When I came back home, the first thing I did was start walking.

But, I quickly discovered that my joints were not able to support all the weight I was carrying at that time.

Then, I started detoxing with smoothies and juices.

I had some success with this at first, but later discovered that it made me very hungry, so I started snacking and ruined whatever momentum I had planned.

I also tried some strange home remedies that a lady at my local health food store used.

Like various blends in the kitchen, with lemons, limes, strawberries and more… because it helps in losing weight.
